Tea

Tea is an aromatic beverage commonly prepared by pouring hot water over the tea leaves. It is the most widely consumed drink in the world after water.

Tea originated from China thousands of years ago where it was used as medicinal drink. Tea has become recreational and fashionable drink for hundreds of years.

In New Zealand, the Manuka was called the tea tree by Captain Cook. It is native to New Zealand, and is commonly found throughout New Zealand. The leaves of the Manuka trees have been used by Captain Cook and the Kiwis to make tea for hundreds of years.
