Description
The motherwort is medicinal herb. It is perennial plant. The parts that grow above the ground are used for medicine. Motherwort is a remedy for women’s reproductive disorders, symptoms of menopause and some heart disorders. It is commonly used in the east to help during child birth. Dried leaves and stalks are crushed into powder and used for cooking chicken (use organic or free-range) nibbles and meat with plenty of crushed ginger and some water. Plant into seed trays in spring.
Heritage status: New Zealand.
